The Big Picture focus, for clarity sake, requires a grip on the fact that all lives matter. Certain assumptions about humanity must be accepted, as self-evident, in some cases. Take that cornerstone of liberality and freedom, “all men are created.”
Equal, right? Equal strength? Equal mental acuity? Equal beauty? No evidence for equality, accidental or otherwise, in those aspects. Equal value? What is any old or new human life worth? God Knows, and Jefferson and Franklin and the old white boys club in Philadelphia agreed that such created equality was “self-evident”. Not “un arguable, nor un deniable”; “self-evident” equal value. American’s, especially, should comprehend this sort of equality because no other sort of equality among individual members of Noah’s brood is possible, considering how individual persons are actually created in the womb and after, if they make it that far.
All persons are created equal in value by the fact that the same individual price was paid for each individual life, even those individual lives as yet un formed in their mothers who were also unborn at the time — real time– when the price was paid for each of us. Otherwise, we are all worthless, deplorable, expendable others. I mean. either we are all worth dying for and we can hope that somebody knows more about how the universe works than those protesting how it works from their herd’s perspective, or “it don’t mean nothin'”. ’tis a tempest in a ziplock bag, or an earnest review of the lady’s protests in Murder of Gonzago. {fatuous intellectual pandering to Shakespeare geeks].
Pre judge mental bigotry by weighing the dead on both perceived sides; counting innocent and ignorant, infant and infantry, men without wombs and men with wombs. Weigh them all and ask what gives those lives reason, purpose or mattering — in the Big picture. On my spectrum babies shine brighter, but that does not change the price once paid for their soul. (OSHA required confusion canceling statement: comprehension= having a grip ≇ having understanding. Hang on.)
Baby soul’s are equal in value to any old soul, in the value setting authorities’ opinion. I am personally acquainted with those authorities and know they bare no sword in vain. {no, you do not “got it”) The slightest possibility of a thinking part of me living forever somewhere forces me to consider deeds that have end-ternal repercussion capacity before I side with advocates of said deeds. You know what I mean: war, unborn child disposal, useless eater elimination , wealth re-distribution , that kind of thing.
If a person is not very discriminating in choosing sides, one might find oneself marching in step with Margaret Sanger or B.F.Skinner or one of their disciples.
